Gilly’s research focuses on media narratives surrounding meat consumption, the livestock industry, dietary change and the environment.
Prior to joining LEAP, she conducted research for the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences into media narratives around remote GP care during the Covid-19 pandemic. Drawing on her DPhil, where she analysed Spanish and Russian literary texts, she seeks to answer science/social science questions through humanities-based methodologies.
